GAS FIRE SERVICING
Please note, we are no longer servicing or repairing Gas Fires. The only exception to this policy is for customers who have had their Gas Fires serviced by us within the previous 13 months. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We have many customers who have had their gas fires serviced by us regularly for many years, who should be unaffected by our new gas fire servicing policy.
MULTI APPLIANCE SERVICE DISCOUNTS.
We offer a £5 discount off of every appliance serviced when more than one appliance is serviced at the same visit.
(Example: Customer has a boiler & a seperate multipoint water heater serviced at the same appointment. This would cost £110 inc)
Remember if your gas boiler has a manufacturers warranty, failure to service it every 12 months will invalidate your warranty, which you could regret should the appliance suffer a component breakdown.
BOILER SERVICING.
The boiler on the left was 5 years old. Never been serviced, and unfortunately needed replacing. This could have been avoidable had it been serviced every year. It did have a 7 year manufacturers warranty when it was installed, but this was null and void as its annual servicing had not been adhered to.
FILTER SERVICING.
We are happy to service system filters during a boiler service visit. As filters age their seals and O rings can deterioate, and cause them to leak after cleaning. Should this occur, repairing this will be chargeable on a parts and labour basis, and is not included in the boiler service
WATER QUALITY TEST.
It is now a mandatory requirement when servicing a gas boiler that a Water Quality test for the central heating system is undertaken. This will show if the system has sufficient inhibitor levels to help prevent corrosion etc. We can offer to add a 500ml bottle of system inhibitor in addition to a boiler service for an additional fee of £35 inc. Manufacturers can invalidate a boilers warranty should they test and find insufficient inhibitor levels within a central heating system, when attending a warranty call out.
