Intro

David McFadyen Central Heating Services (D M C H S) was established in the mid 90s, after taking voluntary redundancy from Scottish Gas. The policy was simple: Deliver a quality service, with affordable and upfront rates for all our services. We display our rates clearly throughout this website, all without charging callout fees. We mainly cover South Glasgow, East Kilbride, Barrhead, and Neilston; servicing, repairing and installing all major brands of gas boilers. These may include (but are not limited to): Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Vokera, Ideal Heating, Glow - Worm, and Baxi.

No Callout Charges.

We don't have a Callout Fee. What does that mean? If we are called out to repair an appliance, and we do not fix it, then there is no charge. For example, our Engineer looks at the appliance and determines that the appliance cannot be repaired, or is so old that parts cannot be obtained. Providing our engineer does not have to take steps to stop water or dangerous fumes leaking out of the appliance, there will be no charge. However, there are occasions that an appliance or central heating system seems to be faulty, but our engineer corrects the situation, by re setting an appliance or controller that someone in the house has unknowingly altered. For example, our Engineer recognises that a thermostat on a radiator has been turned off, and the radiator is not heating up. Our Engineer will correct this, and educate the customer on how to avoid this in the future. There will be our standard repair fee to cover this. This example of a reported fault may seem ridiculously simple, but we do get called out for things like this. Unfortunately, there are costs for running a business, and that is why we have to charge a repair fee in such occasions. So before you call out any Engineer, check the basics. Are your controls set to off, or too low? Does your controller need its batteries replaced? Is you system water pressure set too low. Check your boilers handbook, but most require a cold sytem pressure of between 1 and 1.5 bar. Please feel free to ask for our free guidance over the phone. We are only too happy to help.
