OUR RATES

All repairs and installations are fully guaranteed. We have an open and upfront pricing policy, which allows our customers to know how much the work requested will cost prior to booking.

 

                                     STANDARD SERVICE CHARGES

NOTE.

 

It is now mandatory at a boiler service visit to carry out tests on the water quality within central heating systems. The most common problem we find is insufficient levels of inhibitor protection. This is why we offer a fixed price to add an 0.5l bottle of F1 inhibitor to sytems at a boiler service. Should you require a manufacturers warranty call out, the engineer can test the central heating water quality and void the warranty if results are not in accordance with BS 7593.

 

                            MULTI APPLIANCE SERVICE DISCOUNT

 

When more than one appliance is serviced at the same visit, all appliances serviced will receive a £5.00 discount each.

EXAMPLES..

Property A has a gas boiler and a gas hob. Charge £ 70.00

Property C has a gas boiler, a gas fire and a gas hob. Charge £120.00

 

NOTE.

A gas cooker or hob in a property will be serviced at no cost to the Landlord. This is on condition that the gas cooker doesn't require any repairs, alterations or upgrading.

 

                                         REPAIR RATES

 

All repairs and installations are fully guaranteed.

 

   DESCRIPTION                         RATE

FIRST VISIT REPAIR                  £60.00

 

NOTE.

1. The charge is for a first visit repair is regardless of how long the job takes                but does not include the cost of any parts.

2. Should it not be possible to carry out a complete repair at the first visit, we can        offer a no obligation quote to return and complete the repair. Should the quote        be declined, there will be no charge.

3. Should we be unable to quote to return and complete a repair, there is no                charge.

4. Should we be unable to complete a repair, but we are requested to carry out            work, eg, to stop water leaking from an obsolete boiler, there will be a £60.00          charge for this.

 

                               COOKER/HOB INSTALLATION

 

Where there is a hob or a cooker to be installed, providing there is a live gas pipe available in the area, we normally charge £95.00 to install a cooker or a hob. The cost includes materials such as cooker hose, stability chain etc. We cannot fit electrical spurs or sockets for any appliance. Should we be unable to install your cooking appliance at the stated cost, we will quote for the work requested, with no obligation to accept.

 

                     APPLIANCE/RADIATOR DISCONNECTION CHARGE

 

We are often asked to disconnect a gas appliance or radiator. We will safely disconnect the gas appliiance or radiator and cap off the old gas or water pipes . We cannot remove the old appliance for disposal. The standard charge for Disconnection is £60.00 inc. Where an alternative price is offered for technical reasons, the quotation will be free of charge with no obligation to accept.

 

                                    MINOR ADJUSTMENTS

ADJUSTMENT FEE                     £30.00      If parts are required, its a repair.

 

An example of a minor adjustment would be, the alteration of a systems                  water pressure, or the altering of the settings to a central heating controller.                  

                 SUPPLY AND A CENTER ONE MAGNETIC FILTER

 

Many systems still have no filter. This ideally should be fitted onto the return to your boiler. This affords the best protection for your boiler from any sludge travelling from the pipework and radiators in a central heating system. It is estimated that 80% of central heating breakdowns can be attributed to magnetite (sludge) and insufficient inhibitor levels within central heating systems. For most systems (up to 12 radiators) a Center One filter will provide adequate filtration. We can offer to supply and fit one,  Subject to survey for £200.00 (includes addition of 0.5l of Center One inhibitor)

 

Other filters can be fitted for larger systems and situations, which we will be happy to offer a free quotation.

NOTE.

1. Towel rails and hot water cylinders are counted as if they were radiators.

2. For technical reasons a quote may be offered not in line with our standard                formula. Should this be the case, the quote will be free, with no obligation to            accept.

3. For long term protection your central heating system must have a magnetic filter      installed if not already fitted. The system must be tested for water quality at            every annual boiler service.

 

                                           PARKING CHARGES

 

Should we have to pay parking fees to carry out work, these will be added to the Customers bill.   

 

                                         METHODS OF PAYMENT

 

We are happy to accept cash or credit and debit card payments Payment in full must be made on completion of work to the Engineer on site.

 

We always issue a receipt for all payments.

 

We don't accept cheques.

Outside of normal opening hours we will are often available to answer the phone, but a message left will be answered as soon as possible.

 

We work most bank holiday Mondays, but our rates dont change if we do.
